Alph and De

	1985: A picture taken on Christmas holiday when I received from Deidre a new set of Cokin camera filters.

	1983: What am I doing here? De was directing the play (Twain's Story of Adam and Eve) and I got the lead part by the oldest method known to Hollywood. De's theatre work is linked here.

Deidre when we were in grad school. I had access to the darkroom and liked playing around. This backlit shot was later digitally solarized by fussing with the tone curve.
	Near the train station outside Brussels. Riding the sportster we'd customized with fat bob tank and apehangers.

A friend's wedding in Oakland. 1976. Young and dressing bad. The seventies were especially cruel to men. Check out the collars and tie.
	A visit to Cancun. There was no touching up the image. the sky was really dark grey as a thunderstorm rolled in and yet the water remained a beautiful turquoise.
De was this young once, but I never was. I'm thinking this was in college during a visit home.
	A year or so ago. A portrait session on the back deck.
1976. We were attending a renaissance fair in Novato, CA. This was somewhere at the fair.
	A few years ago. Deidre at one year of age.

Dorky. Real dorky. Judging by stubble and tie, I'd say the last Sunday after vacation before shaving and returning to work. The hat is one I wore on a vacation to CA. About 1986.
	Yes, that is a 1965 Mustang convertible and yes, that is a Volkswagen van. Those were cool. The shirt on the other hand is kind of scary. But, we can at least be thankful the picture isn't in color. I'd say the summer after my freshman yea rin college.
	Deidre about 1991 or so.
The evening we were on our way to the Belgian King's reception for some business heads in the country. Yes, we were heading only a small company, but hey! it's a small country. Great jazz concert.

	One year of corporate aging. Hmmm, not planned but same shirt and tie. Too cheap for new clothes? Not really, I just like that tie.

Grandad couldn't stay off even though he made a special call to tell me I shouldn't ride it across the country even if we were going to stop off and see him.
